Conversations of Hope is a hope-filled evening for those battling eating disorders, their family and friends who love and support them, and Oklahoma eating disorder treatment professionals. Conversations of Hope will be an encouragement to those who struggle and their families and also serves as a fundraiser for the Oklahoma Eating Disorder Association’s mission to bring awareness, resources and support to those who struggle with Eating Disorders and their families, and to treatment professionals across the state.
This year we are please to welcome Kristin Brunello as our keynote speaker.
Kristen Brunello is a 36 year old New Jersey native who is recovered from eating disorders. She became an eating disorder recovery coach and quickly realized she could have a much greater impact on those in recovery through a podcast. Kristen is the host of Eating Disorder Recovery Speakers, which she created to fill a big gap that she noticed as she moved through her own recovery process: there were no success stories out there. EDRS is a platform for people to share their success stories of eating disorder recovery.
Outside of the recovery world, Kristen is a graphic designer and former yoga studio opener, but sees her greatest titles as “the cool aunt” and best friend. Kristen loves design, brunch foods, her nieces, and her cats.

The Story
Every year at our annual gala we have a Tree of Hope in which family members and friends of loved ones with eating disorders can write words of encouragement, love, and hope to those struggling with eating disorders. This year, we want to continue the tradition. Use the form below to honor a loved one and you could see your submission featured on our Facebook or Instagram as well as on this page.
In honor of Betty T. ” Remembering the life of my best friend Betty T. Your life was too short here, but your legacy lives on. I fight to live because of you. Continue to fight, your life matters! You are worthy of recovery.”
In honor of Nancy S. “You will heal. The pain will be forgotten. Love will reign. Your future is so bright.”
In honor of Madison A. “Your story will inspire others, keep on fighting.”
In honor of Robert S. “One day you will forget the pain as you live a life of freedom.”
