Who We Are
Vision
To lead and advocate for education & treatment of Eating Disorders in Oklahoma in order to promote healthy body images and positive relationships with food.
Mission
Oklahoma Eating Disorders Association (OEDA), a not-for-profit organization, is dedicated to the prevention of disordered eating, eating disorders, and negative body image by raising awareness, providing education, and serving as the leading resource of support and identification of treatment resources throughout Oklahoma and neighboring states.

Lisa C Gibson, MS, RD/LD – President and Co-founder
Lisa C. Gibson M.S., R.D./L.D. is the President and co-founder of OEDA, a member of the National Eating Disorders Association in which she serves on the committee of the NEDA Network and the STAR program. She is a member of the American Dietetic Association, Oklahoma Dietetic Association, and the Oklahoma City Dietetic Association. She also serves as an Adjunct Associate Professor at Oklahoma City University and Rose State College. She co-owns Rocktown Climbing Gym, with her husband Aaron in downtown Oklahoma City. Mrs. Gibson obtained her Masters of Science in Nutritional Sciences at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center and earned her Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Food Science from the University of North Alabama. She is credentialed through the American Dietetic Association and the Oklahoma Medical Licensing Board as a Registered and Licensed Dietitian in the state of Oklahoma.
Scott Moseman, MD - Vice President
Dr. Scott Moseman is currently the Medical Director of the Laureate Eating Disorders Program and has worked at Laureate since 2004. He is a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist who received his fellowship training at Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where he served as chief fellow. Dr. Moseman received his medical degree from Texas A&M Health Science Center, then completed adult psychiatric training at the University of Arizona. His areas of specialty include eating and mood disorders, and he emphasizes family involvement in the care of his patients.
Tamara Richardson, PhD - Secretary
Tamara Richardson, Ph.D., is a licensed psychologist who has a part-time private practice in Stillwater, Ok. Her full time position is a senior clinical counselor at Oklahoma State University (OSU) Student Counseling Center. Dr. Richardson specializes in the prevention and treatment of eating disorders and body image issues. She is actively involved in coordinating eating disorder and body image awareness events and she lectures and conducts research on body image issues among girls and women. Dr. Richardson serves as an adjunct professor at OSU for the masters program in counseling. She is the training director for student interns at the OSU Student Counseling Center and coordinator for the OSU GLBT Safe Zone program. Dr. Richardson obtained her Doctoral degree in Counseling Psychology from Oklahoma State University in 2007.
Kristina Duty, MA, RD/LD - Treasurer
Kristina Duty, RD/LD., is a Registered Dietitian in private practice based in the Oklahoma Metro and Norman areas. Her passions include medical nutrition therapy for disordered eating, eating disorders, polycystic ovarian syndrome, and weight loss. She also works with individuals who have hypertension, cholesterol issues, heart disease, gastrointestinal dysfunction and diabetes. She also serves as an Adjunct Associate Professor of Nutrition at Rose State College. She graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma with a degree in marketing and received a Masters of Arts in Dietetics at the University of Oklahoma Health Science Center. She is credentialed through the American Dietetic Association and the Oklahoma Medical Licensing Board as a Registered and Licensed Dietitian in the state of Oklahoma. Kristina is a member of the Oklahoma Dietetic Association, American Dietetic Association, Behavioral Health Dietetic Practice Group, National Eating Disorder Association and a Board Member of the Oklahoma Eating Disorder Association.
Ovidio Bermudez, MD – Co-founder
Ovidio Bermudez, M.D is the Medical Director of the Eating Disorders Program at Laureate Psychiatric Clinic and Hospital in Tulsa, OK. He holds academic appointments as Clinical Professor of Psychiatry and Pediatrics at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine and as Adjunct Associate Professor of Pediatrics at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. He holds former academic appointment at The University of Alabama at Birmingham and the University of Florida. He is Board certified in Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine.
Dr. Bermudez is a Fellow of the Academy for Eating Disorders, the Society for Adolescent Medicine, and the American Academy of Pediatrics. He is Past Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Eating Disorders Association and Emeritus Board member of the Eating Disorders Coalition of Tennessee (EDCT) (which he co-founded). He Chairs the Medical Care Special Interest Group and the Hispano-Latino-American Chapter of the Academy for Eating Disorders.
Dr Bermudez has lectured nationally and internationally on eating disorders, childhood obesity, and other topics related to adolescent and young adult healthcare and has been recognized for his dedication and advocacy in the field of eating disorders.
Jaime Conover, LPC – Community Outreach Committee & Co-founder
Jaime N. Conover, MA LPC, is a psychotherapist in private practice in the North Oklahoma City and Norman areas. Her private practice is primarily devoted to the treatment of eating disorders. In addition, Jaime has provided psychosocial evaluations prior to bariatric surgery as well as pre and post bariatric surgery psychotherapy. She has presented to the freshman dance class at Oklahoma City University for the past three years. The clinical paper completed during graduate school, pertaining to a client struggling with an eating disorder, was presented to the Oklahoma Society for Psychoanalytic Studies (OSPS). She has been a guest on the Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN) show “Our Town,” to discuss eating disorders in adolescents and participated in a news interview aired on KSBI to discuss eating disorders in general as well as symptoms and treatment. She is a member of the National Eating Disorder Association.
Mrs. Conover obtained her Masters of Art in Marriage and Family Therapy at Southern Nazarene University (SNU) in Bethany, Oklahoma. Prior to that she earned her undergraduate degree in Health and Human Performance with a minor in Psychology from Northeastern State University (NSU) in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Oklahoma, licensed by the Oklahoma State Department of Health.
